My name is Vicky, I am a professional Dog Walker based in Yate and I run Play And Walkies.
I’ve loved animals since I was small, although I was never allowed to have an animal at home, other than a hamster. Instead I took to looking after other peoples animals from a young age. I adored taking other peoples dogs out for a walk and they trusted me at the tender age of 11. I took out all breeds; from a King Charles Spaniel called Lucy, a Retriever called Brandy and even a Border Collie called Blaze.
From senior school I owned my first horse (which is another passion of mine) and I still own a horse to this day, enjoying the outdoor life that this brings. Rain or shine, I’m used to being out in all weathers. My own dog, Bear, loves coming to the field to see the horses and so did my old dog Badger, who sadly passed away in 2017.
I’ve done numerous NVQs in Horse Care and a First Aid Certificate for Canines (I am also fully insured and DBS checked). Most recently I’ve completed and passed my Advanced Canine Body Language course. I’m often asked for advice on peoples pets and I’m happy to share my knowledge and support fellow animal lovers.
I believe that your dog is not just a dog, but a member of the family. Whilst being in my care I will treat your pet like it is my own; lots of play, care and cuddles.
